Hydraulic Clutch??

Bought my First Cobra over the weekend. Clutch went soft on Monday. That's ok I could tell something was up with it before I Purchased. It is my 1st Hydraulic Clutch. Transmission is a T-10 Side loader. Any Suggestions/ideas?

Is it an external slave cylinder. Not too difficult if it is. This is an example of an OEM 289 application. Including the T-10.

If it is an external slave cylinder, would the exact year of that part be crucial to the new part? Also just Curious, do you recommend a solid mechanic in the area, or is this the quick replace myself cylinder?

If it was me I would put the original clutch fork and throw out bearing back in the car. Hydraulic T/O brgs are sometimes a pain.

But that is not what you asked. Yes, you can do it if you are comfortable pulling the transmission, if it is an internal T/O Brg. Instructions will walk you through the install. Be sure you bench bleed your hyd T/O brg before you install it. If it is an external one it is even easier. Be sure to bleed the T/O bearing good enough to get all the air out.

I think I'll go with your suggestion, thanks for the info!
