NORCAL Cobras Breakfast & Drive 11/20/04
Nice seeing and meeting everyone at the NORCAL breakfast in Auburn at the Ridge. The LeafBlowers were out today! Clear blue sky, crisp cool air, beautiful fall leaves and colors. I counted about 33 people at breakfast. Wow, nice showing.
After breakfast, a group of us from the NorCal, SACC crew, and others from Grass Valley continued on with a really great drive with a stop in Coloma. Others had a 2nd wind and continued down through the canyon up through 193 Chili Bar for some of the best scenery, roads, and driving ever. Thanks for the photo Duane, I sure wish I could have been there. It's a real pain in the butt when I have to put my real job before my hobby and play time. Glad to hear we had a great turnout and everyone had a great time. Just wait until you hear what I'm planing for next month.

We were bummed that you couldn't make it. It was great to do something different and the Ridge turned out nicely. If it makes you feel better, I definitely know how it is to have to skip. Fortunately, this time I was not Primary on call this weekend by luck, so I was able to make it. :) And the same type reason why I've missed a few of the other meets in the past, and the same reason I'll miss others in the future. :( I guess we all gotta take it and enjoy these things when we can get it! |
I think everyone that came to breakfast and the "run" had a great time, I know I did. I was third from the back and it was great to see a long line of Cobras going down Hwy 49. First real run with my new BDR and it handled great. Looking forward to another run before the rain set in. Sorry you could not make it Don. Maybe we shouldn't wait for 3rd Sat? (ie., first dry Saturday?)
Sure would have been nice to have club jackets! |
