Need some ring ad pinion help.....
Anyone ever done a ring and pinion swap? I have a Ford 8.8 strait axle in my FFR Cobra that I want to swap out to 3.27 that I have laying around. I have all the tools to do the job, I just don't know how to do it (yet). What do I need to do the swap as far as washers, gauges, seals, oil, etc. I have a 12 ton hydraulic press, tons of hand tools, and air tools in my garage. If you help me mabey I can help you with something on your car? I would like to start this on an up comming Saturday soon-John

Here's a great write-up on the 8.8 do's and don'ts. You have to have a subscription to view the whole thing, but it's worth the $7 for the trial! I used the trial the first time I went to the site and then a month and a half later found myself there to read another article so I just did the year. The site has alot of DIY type articles and lots of valuable info!
