My Yoko's arrived today!
The Yokohama Avid S/T's I ordered on Monday arrived at my house this AM.
Can't wait to have them installed. I purchased them from Onlinetires.com in the L.A. area $66 (ea.) for the front and $96 for the rears. I was told they only have about 4 Yoko's in the 245/60 and 295/50 15" size left. Get while the gettn is good. :JEKYLHYDE Looking forward to breakfast on Sat.

Had the Yoko's installed thursday... incredible improvement in handling, car feels more grounded, secure, and easier to turn wheel and track on the freeway. I had Goodyears racing tires (vintage bias ply style) and the steering wheel would shake and the car would seem to bounce down the road. Night and day improvement. Les Schwab on Bradshaw (in Sacramento) did an incredible installation... Matt was familiar with the knockoffs and even re-wired the spinners.

I went to the Yokos a couple of years ago, a huge reduction in steering wheel shake.

Me too. The yoko's make for a great street tire. They just plain work Great!Got myself an extra set of rear tires while the getting is good. Not sure what I will do next go-around???
Hoping there are some new options by then.

There are several brands available in 235, 245/60/15 and 295/50/15 such as Cooper Tires and Hercules (which I think is made by Cooper) in quantity. The issue for me has been quality of the tires and I went with Yoko's as TireRack consumers reported it was one of the best tires in the sizes that fit our 15" wheel. 17" wheels would open up many more outstanding tire brands that have excellent reputations and very good handling characteristics... the 17" wheel might be the way to go in the future when 15" tires become extinct.
