Flywheel arrived, time to assemble!
 Here is my 5.0 hanging up on the crane wondering when I'm going to be done!http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d3...1/PB080001.jpg
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d3...1/PB080006.jpg Here is my empty engine bay (before cleaning up a little). Sure looks big without an engine to fill it up. http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d3...1/PB080003.jpg Here is a shot of a remanufactured McLeod Aluminum flywheel. Just got it back from L.A. via UPS. http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d3...1/PB080004.jpg Here I am pointing to the 50oz balance (small block Fords are externally ballanced rather than internally ballanced like the big blocks) 351's are 28oz. http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d3...1/PB080005.jpg Here is the new Zoom Kelvar fiber clutch plate. Notice that it doesn't have any rivits. It's cemented to the disk using a high tech aerospace epoxy that's similar to what Jumbo Jets are glued together with. (yes, jumbo jets are glued together:eek: ) http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d3...1/PB080007.jpg Here is the new Zoom clutch. It's Purple! Don't tell anybody:o http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d3...1/PB080008.jpg I am going to try to have it up and running by Sunday night if possible. Saturday is my 4th Wedding Anniversary and I doubt Debbie would like to spend it in the garage! -John |
**) After pulling an all-nighter, the car started up on very first turn of the key on Saturday afternoon! I celebrated by putting the soft top on and driving for two hours in the pouring rain. Had a good time. The new clutch is FANTASTIC. It's never been this smooth before. All's well-John
