Nov. 23rd, 2007 in CA - Winter?
Any of you NorCal guys decide to blow off the holiday chores or typical shopping or work and just go do some driving today?
Man O' Man, today was one of those days where the Cobra took priority. The car couldn't seem to find it's way home with nice cooler dense air and bright skies. Yes, some mid-summer days do keep us inside here, but today was one of those make-up days for sure. "Perfect" is an understatement :) Anybody else? |
No!
But I sure did think about it!
jdog P.S. But, maybe tomorrow!;) |
You lucky fellow,
My first time ever to put up the lights the day after. Maurice |
Let's see, 90 miles on Thanksgiving day and 152 miles today (last 40 miles at night). I'd say about 242 miles worth and it's only Friday night. My head is still ringing. I know I have to go somewhere tomorrow but the location hasn't come to me yet. Incredible driving weather and good times! :D

Yep I drove around today. Perfect for a drive. Not that much traffic either considering. I had a hoodie on and heated seats and was great.
|
:D Can you say Placer Hills Road (Auburn to Colfax and back)? :D My daughter and her family just moved to Eden Valley and we just had to visit!
|
Mine is not here yet so a round of golf was in order. Low 80s........not bad for an old man......:)

Couldn't drive the car over the holiday, but I sat in it and fired it up to my neighbors' distress. :o |

Well, you were certainly there in spirit Jim! |
I'm jealous. I got dragged -- er, talked into the whole mall thing. Happy wife, happy life, right? :)

No...up in Quincy it's still 40 during the day...BUT I did just get back from 2 weeks in Mexico. It was in the eighties there...
Glad to see you're all getting driving time though...I'm jealous. Tom |
... just got back from a drive in the Backdraft... the KCR 427 Windsor LOVES this cooler weather. Ran great & was great day for a drive... sunny, 70 degrees, & light breeze... it don't get much better...

Friday and Saturday were both great days for a drive in the Cobra. Problem is, my throttle cable broke the other day. :( I'm looking for a replacement cable and have yet to find one. :(
So, went old school yesterday and took out the real horse power and went for a horseback ride. :) |
Okay, now that you guys are popping your heads up, c'mon out and support the new guy (Justin's Santa/Toy run) over to UC-Davis hospital on December 15th. He is about 1/2 way there on stuffed animals. Cobra or no Cobra, c'mon out. This will be a GREAT holiday get-together with all of you and an opportunity to feel fortunate and give something to the kids there before hard winter sets in. The children in the Pediatrics area are going to really appreciate it, and so will Justin. See his thread. Thank You.
