Referral for appraiser in Portland area?
Crossing my fingers, but I am tentatively buying a Superformance in mid-October. My insurance agent is asking for an appraisal and I'm not comfortable just "taking it anywhere." Any locals who know these cars well that the board can recommend?

Maybe you should consider changing insurance agent. Try Midwest Classic Insurance Inc., PO Box 229, Auburn, IL 62615-0229. Telephone number is 888/271-4000. Take pictures to send them and tell them how much you want to insure the car for and it is done. Good people to do business with. And, the rates are very reasonable.

I'll be down in Oregon the last week of October if that would help. Sounds like that will be too late, but thought I would offer. Midwest Classic will take what you are paying for it as the value. I think they have the lowest rates anyway!
