Winter projects

Heated seats are now installed. Just need some dry roads to give them the butt test. I am very happy with the overall look of the install. Next project, just pulled the driver sidepipe which had a broken rear bracket. After that I think I will install some new pads on the e-brake which has not been functional since I bought the car. Now all I need is some heat in the shop...a bit chilly at 45 degrees.

It's a great time to do the updates/repairs to get ready for Spring. Have fun.

You need to heat the garage Jake.

I go out and turn on the heat. 15 minutes later it's 70 degrees and warm enough for a beer.

You are going to love those heated seats!

Are you going to update the sidepipes like on your other SPF with the SS Mufflers?

BruceSnyder 01-14-2012 07:24 PM

I'm converting from the Powerjection III to a Holley Ultra Street Avenger 670 Carb. I should have done this in the first place. And Yep, its cold in the garage.

ReMorton 01-14-2012 08:10 PM

..changing out Holley to Proform carb, adding shoulder harnesses, oil change and getting the darn left side curtain adjusted so the door closes with top on. Portable heater works well in the garage for those cold nights.

I swapped them out before I sold my old Cobra. I actually swapped out several bits and pieces that I liked better, including my seats.

project

Hi Jake,
The butt warmers will be good for our cool days, Bev always had a blanket over her legs also.
The daytona has seen some upgrades also.
- changed the 3.27 rear to a new 3.73 rear with Max motorsports links and set the pinion angle down 4*.
- new leather steering wheel
- a REAL glass rear window, looks factory now instead of plastic.
-I'm making a set of 2 into 1 magnaflow competition sidepipes, with heatshields....no more snake bites.
It's cold in my garage too:(
Perry.

Jake, Great choice on swapping the exhaust out with the new car:) I love the sound of those mufflers.

For winter projects I added backup generator to the house and added 100 amp service in garage. Also added 2 5KWH heaters in garage so I could stand to work in there this winter.

On the Cobra, just changed out fluids in engine/tranny/rearend/brakes and swapped out clutch slave cylinder. Also got some new 17 inch wheels which have not shown up yet. Going to 335/35/17's in the rear.

Mark,
What wheels and tires did you buy?

Superformance Shoulder Harness

I found a "Technical Service Tip" from Superformance about harness installation. If you are interested, send me an email and I'll send it to you. It's too large to attach here.

heat in the shop

I installed a wood stove. heats up shop, tools, walls, really penetrates. with a ceiling fan & a box fan behind stove the shop is t-shirt ready. great place to get rid of fallen trees (yes we had some wind down in oregon)

I'm curious about the heated seats; what product did you use? I wouldn't be without my heater here in Minnesota, but I've heard nothing but good things about heated seats and they could be a good addition for my SPF.

Didn't we weld up that same side pipe bracket last time I was over? Did it break at the pipe or the body?

Ray

It broke in the same place on the bracket. All fixed now.

Jake
