Can anyone identify this Cobra in Portland OR?

I was browsing through Flickr and came across these photos (taken July 2011) of a beautiful 1963 Shelby Cobra at The Jag Shop in Portland OR (Craig Nelson, proprietor). Does anyone know which chassis number this is?

It's obviously a very early car as you can tell from the flathead Cobra logo, the lack of side vents, the hood latches, the Ace-style steering wheel hub, the Smiths gauges, and so on. The car has 94,030 miles on the odometer.

Iv'e always loved that color blue on a Cobra, wish I saw more in that shade..

Any chance it could be CSX2118...?

It seems to match the description in the Shelby registry which described the car as undergoing a restoration in 2005, painted Guardsman Blue. It looks to be a worm-and-sector car which maxes out at CSX2125. All the Cobras were painted black, white or red up to CSX2104 so if blue is the original colour then the range of possible cars is getting narrow.

That overflow tank an upgrade?

Portland Cobra

Interesting, in this many years I guess anything could be changed. According to the registry cars from 2104 to 2125 were painted bright blue, red, princess blue, vineyard green, and 2125 is listed as the only blue metallic, black interior and an LA car. That would seem to fit the car in the picture (which looks great by the way). What is "blue metallic" anyway - Brittany Blue?? The car in the photo is not Princess Blue.(thinking about painting my car the color but cant find it) and not bright blue. All the early Princess Blue cars had red interiors. 2118 is listed as extensively raced which would mean a lot of restoration here but might explain the FIA tank?
Have not noticed the clips on the rear deck of this car before, anyone know how they are used with the top?

Is this Cobra still in the Jag Shop and available for viewing?

I noticed those too. Could they be there to hold a luggage rack in place? CSX2118 had one when new.

I don't know if the car is still in the showroom today, but I sent an email to the shop owner yesterday enquiring about the car. No response yet.

Do we have anyone from Portland who'd like to pop in and see?

The clips are a different version of the clips used to secure the back of a hardtop.

No, that's the type used on early car prior to the black Ford/Lincoln type tank.

Timing adjust on wheel indicates a pretty early car doesn't it? They should have painted the defrost blades in that pretty blue color. Nice looking car and always an interesting study with Brian ;-)

I'm sure you meant to say turn signals. I think spark advance adjustment on the steering wheel ended for Ford with the Motel T in 1927 ;)

Ahem errr yes of course turn signals. That would make me not the timing retarded duh.
