I am looking for a good shop/mechanic in the Gig Harbor area. I heard about someone near Port Orchard, but I can't remember the person's, or shop name...

I would also be interested in a good shop in the Seattle or Eastside area?

Graffs Auto out on Pt. Fosdick toward the airport does very good work at a very reasonable price. Had them do work for me a couple of times and would not hesitate to use them. A real plus is they take good care of your car and have a large inside area where they can store it if it has to be there for any period of time. Nice guys and have been there a long time. They worked on both my Cobra and '38 Chevy.

Depending on what you would like to do, when the weather is nice out and we can get the vehicles out of the garage, some of us get together every other weekend to wrench on our cars together. We tend to do this May-September. I think we have had most of my Backdraft apart and back together. We live in the Bonney Lake/ Tacoma area. Just across the bridge.

Oh that couldn't be farther from the truth. They work on a load of the SOVREN vintage racers. There is an open house tomorrow from 10-2 if you are interested.

Speedware in Redmond Is Great
Yes, my first hand experience does agree. Speedware did a great job with laser aligning and setting up the suspension on my Cobra. They blew me away having all the custom specs in their database for my CCX with Jaguar running gear.
Their racing ware and helmets are a bit pricy, of course all their Microsoft customers help sustain high prices without a gripe...well some Microsoftites may complain a little but their stock has been doing well lately so no right to complain much at least. :D

Good Shop Mechanic In Gig Harbor
Thanks all- I stopped by there Saturday and received a tour of the facility by Alex. Have heard they are on the pricey side but know what they are doing. I don't mind paying more for expertise and being careful with the car-up to a limit of course.

Garages
The Old School Garage in the industrial Park in Port Orchard. Joe the owner only works on vintage cars and classics. Has a racing history in Trans Am and can tune webers. By the way how have your webers worked out for you?

Thanks whiter!
I had heard about a shop in Port Orchard, but could not remember the name... As far as the Webers go, they are very close to being dialed in. I do have a slight lean condition right at 220 RPM when under a constant load, such as pulling a hill. I normally just down shift to get to a higher RPM.
