I live in Lynden just north of Bellingham and would gladly offer any one a spot to park a trailer if needed. I can't make the trip north. I have been following this topic on FFCars forum.

Update- Confirmed that we will have a reserved section of underground parking for the Snake Pit at the Pan Pacific. Also made reservations for 35 to 40 people for a group dinner at the Spaghetti Factory in the Village on Sat. at 5pm. I have contacted the Chamber of Commerce to see if we can have a short 1-2 Hr show and shine in the Village to share the Cobra's with the people of Whistler....Waiting for a call back.

Default Ferndale Stop

FFR#8442 won't quite be ready for the trip this year. I'll plan to stop by the Ferndale stop to see everyone off to the border. I live couple miles East of I-5 Ferndale exit and have a 4-post lift incase anyone needs more than fuel.

Safe travels

Rick

As for a Ferndale gas stop, I would suggest Pilot in Ferndale. A little more room and probably better gas.
Just my 2 cents, really makes no difference to me.

What is the exit number to the Ferndale Pilot? Sounds like a good choice. Also looking for a exit number for a Everett or Lynnwood bathroom break location. North Enders sing out.

I'm assuming I'll get a head's up call when the South guys leave Everett. I'll then relay the message. Looks like we're at 4 cars if Ward shows.
Not sure what route Jake had planned after border crossing, but (even with the traffic hassles) 18 cobras going through the downtown Vancouver traffic would, IMHO put on a petty good show. Horshoe Bay would be a good muster point after leaving downtown, and a final chance to pee before the drive into Whistler.

I am good with the downtown Vancouver route. Not sure where Horshoe Bay is, but I am fine with a quick stop. This will be a pretty informal trip and I am open to suggestions that will make the trip more enjoyable for the group!

Jake
...shoulda been 'Horseshoe Bay'. Too much home-brew.

Its about 1/2 way from Ferndale to Whistler. Note that the drive to Whistler according to my map is about 3 1/2 hrs from Bham.

Not wishing to hijack trip route, but here's a suggested route from the Peace Arch crossing at Blaine I-5:

- Hwy 99 north after Border crossing. A fair distance to town. Becomes Granville Hwy and is well marked, major through fare.
- Granville Hwy intersects with W Georgia St, Hwy 99/1A downtown.
- Left on W. Georgia St, heading NW. Hwy 99/1A Crosses Lions Gate Bridge and goes thru Stanley Park.
- Stay on this road to you get to Marine Dr, and go left (clover leaf loop to west.)
- First right is Taylor Way, turn right and go north.
- Taylor Way intersects with the TransCanada Hwy 1. Go west (left).
- Take Hwy 1 to Horseshoe Bay off ramp, easy on/off.
- After rest stop, regroup and head north to Whistler up Hwy 1, sans stops.

Easier than it sounds, if lost, follow signs to Hwy 1 and go north.

Default North End Rally Point

To all in the north end, we need to pick a rally point. Any ideas? I was thinking the Bellingham area.

Tim you have any ideas?

Here's alternate route from Google; bypass Vancouver Intl airport traffic and downtown Vancouver traffic...

To get to 176 St (Pacific Highway/Hwy 15)

-Hwy99 north from border to 8th Ave (River Rd) - about 1 mile north of the border

-Exit from clover leaf onto 8th Ave (turning right) and drive East about 1 mile to 176 St (Pacific Highway/Hwy 15)

- Turn left at 176 St (Pacific Highway/Hwy 15) and drive North on 176 ST (Pacific Highway/Hwy 15) about 10-12 miles to reach TransCanada Hwy designated Hwy 1

- At the clover leaf find TransCanada Highway / Hwy 1 West exit and exit onto TransCanada Highway/ Hwy 1 West. Continue on TransCanada Hwy /Hwy1 through Greater Vancouver District to Horseshoe Bay and onto Whistler.

Hi all! Mike & I won't make it due to his shoulder surgery this week. We were both really looking forward to it, so can't wait to hear all about it (and look forward to joining you next year...)

My cell is 805 603-5256 and the wife's name is Tetelle. We will meet up in Ferndale at 9 AM Friday morning if I recall correctly. Pilot gas indeed! Tim, how could you put that swill in your Cobra?
