Superformance Battery Change

I've got to change the battery in SPO2089. Its going on 12 years and starting to show signs of failure.
Cant find battery hold down. Looking down into the compartment the battery sits on the fiberglass battery well as if it had no tiedown . Underneath the car there is a fiberglass well, but no bolting visible. There is a vertical panel that isolates the rear wheel from the battery compartment.
Before I start taking things apart can anyone advise how the is battery secured?

My car is a little older than yours, so it's possible that they're different. My battery is contained in the battery box by the battery box lid which is secured with two knurled knobs screwed onto a threaded stud at each end of the battery box. These threaded studs extend to the bottom of the box.

After all these years, the plastic battery case might be stuck to the fiberglas. I want to verify that there is nothing else holding the battery, before I start yanking on it.

Nothing else is supplied by the factory. Most installers hold the battery down with foam or wood under the plastic lid. Most do not use anything if the battery fits snugly in the tray as it really can't go anywhere.

When I went to remove the battery from my car for the first time, it was very difficult to remove. I discovered that the previous owner had basically forced the battery down into the battery box and actually cracked the bottom of the box. What I found after I got the battery out, was that the molded-in rails at the lower edge of the battery (these rails are used in some OEM applications for clamps that hold the battery down) made the battery case too wide for the box. I cut the rails off of the battery case and did a fiberglass repair of the box and all is well now. Just telling you this in case you have a similar situation. I also had to fabricate a strap to pull the battery by clamping to the battery posts. I don't remember why now, but the commercially available straps that I could find wouldn't work in this situation.

I used a Braille which is much smaller and lighter. The original battery was an awkward extraction. And I would ensure the new one has some kind of handle to lift it out. I just used two long zip ties since the new one did not incorporate a handle.
