Any ERA owners in WA? What Make did they use on your title?

Mine was originally titled as ASVE since that was what the original title from IL listed it as, and the dept of licensing insisted that it needed to match.

They have since changed it (I don’t know why) and sent me a new title with the Make as KITV. They vehicle was entirely built at ERA, including motor installing.

I’m wondering if this change is going to burn me at some point.

I originally tried very hard to get them to let me use antique 65 plates, but lost that battle. I actually wrote up a huge post when I first joined, but it either never got approved by moderators, or otherwise got lost in the ether sadly.

The vehicle was built in 95, so I guess it’ll qualify soon enough though I suspect they still won’t approve use of 65 plates.

What model year was it originally registered as?

Pretty sure 95 - the year it was built / delivered to the original owner.

That might be tough then, but I am no expert. I think once it is branded as a 1995, it will always be a 1995. The model year should be clearly posted somewhere on your registration certificate or title.

My Roadster was registered as a 1965 Specially Constructed Vehicle in California.

I was able to register it here as a 1965 Shelby Cobra. This qualified it as an antique vehicle and had no problem using a 1965 vintage plate.

Good luck, and keep us posted.
