Portland Historic Races 2002
The Portland Historic races are going to held at Portland international Raceway on July 12 -14. This has been a fun event with good turnout from club cobra. They will have the collector car corrals on Saturday and Sunday with a parade lap around PIR mid day.
Portland historic races web site is at http://www.portlandhistorics.com/home.htm Tickets for the car corrals need to be purchased by clubs as a collective group (no individual corral entries). I have collected the money for the group the last two years, purcased the tickets and mailed them back to the individual members. This is a fun event. Lots of racing , great cars, and great people. If you would like to attend with club cobra please Email me. We can exchange addresses. I will give you my address to send me a check and when I recieve the tickets/corral passes I will mail them back to you. The Cost this year is $35 for the three days of racing (They only have the car corrals Saturday and Sunday but there is usually lots of close (safe) parking on Friday also). I would like to be ready to send the money in by May 15. Money has to be recieved by Sandy Bauer at Cambell productions before June1. Another Date to Mark on the Calendar
Everyone might want to mark another date in the calendar of events.
The Shelby Cobra Challenge Senior Racing Series is scheduled for June 16th at Portland Raceway. This is the same weekend as the CART races here at PIR. More information can be found at Finish Line Motorsports web site: http://www.finishlinecobraslv.com/Events_Schedule.html There is not much at the web site to confirm that things are rolling with this series so I am making the assumption that this series is up and running? Can anyone confirm? Mike |

I just spoke to a representative of promotions for The Shelby Cobra Challenge Senior Racing Series. He just confirmed that the race sechduled for June 16th in Portland has been canceled. :mad: Mike |
