Anyone with pin drive wheels in the area...
I'm looking for someone in the Seattle area that has unmounted pin-drive Trigo or PE Engineering wheels. I'm looking at using them on my GT40 and want to check the fitment. Might be worth a six pack or two!

For a six-pack or two, I might be conviced to drive to Seatle!!

I just so happened to have a spare set sitting around that you could use. Fred |
Neal,
I have spoken to Phil at PS Engineering about backset, he said he can adjust a little bit in or out on his 6 pin wheel. Peter from ERA sent the following link to the wheels they use made by PS which are dinensioned. http://www.erareplicas.com/fiaman/wheels/ Hope this helps Charlie |
Neal, any chance we might get our first look at the new car on our "Open Winery Tour" on the 10th?

Now that you brought it up lets hear about the Keith drink till there dry wine run. |
Uh...
Thanks for the input guys. I spoke with Phil as PS and I think I'm going to 15" pindrive BRMs for the street. If only there were some decent tires. Perhaps a second set for the track!? How does that tread wear / new tires / tires come with wheels thing work Fred?
Walt, Unfortunately, unless you drop by, the only GT40 sightings will be on my web page... Neal's GT40 page Raise a glass of cab in hope I can make it next year. A votre sante... |

The set I have are Trigo with Hoosier mounted on them. I have promised them another person. If needed I could always put them on mine and let you fit check with my other ones, they have 295 50 15 and 255 60 15. The hoosiers are 275 60 15 and 255 60 15. Do you have the pin drives already or would you need to borrow them also. |

Hi Fred,
Thanks for the offer. I don't have adapters yet but did get the pad dimensions for them. I need to get the calipers on before I can do some serious measurements. Another week or so... If you're out for a cruise and have a mind to come by for a look let me know. The beer offer still holds... |
Neal,
just reviewed your pix...thought it was a turn-key, hence the offer to join the wine cruise. I guess you could put it on a flat bed and tow it behind the benz. Seriously, it looks great and can't wait to see this beast in action. Good luck with the build! Walt |
Neal,
Great photo gallery. Keep them coming. Did you build a Cobra before the 40 project ??? It seems that alot of us build a Cobra then a 40. Cheers, Bill Cook :D |
Neal,
Where are the pics of the car coming off the truck? :3DSMILE: Or how about the one with you sitting inside thinking "Boy I don't have alot of head room." I won't mention the way the table was used. Genius, I must say. Bill, Neal built a Factory Five that was gorgoues and has given more rides to people than the local county fair ferris wheel. Neal's is the one closest: http://a3.cpimg.com/image/5D/8F/3202...-028001E0-.jpg And some 'spirited' driving: http://a6.cpimg.com/image/76/35/5850...-028001E0-.jpg |
