The Bend Trend

Hey guys and gals, went skiing down in Bend (Mt. Batchelor) this past week end with the Healey driver and Denise. Got to view their new digs on the river. The house is about 90% finished and is really something. I sits about 100' up at a bend in the river which gives a spectacular view. Walt and Deni have really created a showplace.

Bend is cool, lots of nice restaurants, shops and so forth, but the surrounding area is perfect for day cruises in the Cobra. We talked about a number of different routes ranging in distance from 50 miles on up. There a so many places to go and the weather seems to be in the mid 80's during the summer.

We stopped by the motel that Walt arranged for. It's just outside of town, is wooded, has a pool and the road coming to it is straight and wide. Some how it reminded me of a dragstrip!

I am not going to be able to go on the long cruise so will show up on Thursday, but even that drive, over the Mt hood Hwy is worth the trip. Gonna be a fun time.
