My Daze Are Over

Well folks..... looks like my Cobra daze are over. I really didn't think it would happen, but it did. I put it up for sale, and I'll be darned....

So do you think I could still come along with yawl anyway on my new 2 wheeled Cobra? It has flames....

Your friend always, and still tuned to NWCC,

Zderf (sniff sniff)

Uff Da! Congrats Fred! I think?

So how was that "RM Online" to deal with? Do they take a cut or a fee? Guess I won't be the only Cobra guy who's Cobra less. Keep in touch, and keep on cruisin'.

Todd

Cobra Sold

Fred, that is horrible that you had to sell old red. I wish you would have told me that you were having to make the choice between the bike and the cobra. I would have given you the 90 minute video seminar that I created to convince your wife to allow you to keep both. It is a proven winner! Well, I guess we could still go for a ride when the weather clears this spring. Keep in touch. :JEKYLHYDE :JEKYLHYDE :JEKYLHYDE

I always thought old red was too much for you to handle, at least your knees won't hit the dash. Once a Cobra owner always a Cobra owner so you are always welcome to tag along hell we let Keith tag along with his oil dripper . Now that you have bailed and Todd is trying will Rich be next???? The old Y block is up on blocks for the winter so will just have to wait till Spring to have some more fun.
Did it sell to a local or out of stater, who ever bought it got a very nice car.

Rich 11-24-2004 08:43 PM

Fred (H),

I subscribe to the school of thought that says, when you get a new toy, rather than selling an old one, build another garage.

Happy Thanksgiving!

John McMahon 11-25-2004 07:21 AM

Zderf,

Best of luck...I think I'm right behind you.

Any one interested in a 289FIA????

Sorry to hear you let go of your Cobra. But, if you need a fix while you're in Tulsa next time, give me a call I will let you drive mine.

Happy Thanksgiving,

Clois

Z-man...

"Poopheadbob"...!? Oh well, as long as the ink is thoroughly dry on the money when you deposit it... who cares what he goes by. He's getting a beautiful car. The fact that yours sold so quickly among a sea of 'for sale' cobras is testiment. Todd's car is another hot buy. Whoever gets it is getting a solid deal.

I propose we form an auxillary org... "former NW Cobra Club owners who now pilot other forms of cool transportation but who still like Cobras and enjoy the people who drive them." OK, maybe that's a bogus title but you get the idea. We already have the seed of said group... you and the flamed bike, Todd and the Maser, me and the modified Healey... any more? Does Steve Rauch still have his car? He could always provide the Ferrari fix.

I"m starting to meet people down here who drive a variety of cars... Stingrays, Alfas, street rods... and Cobras. We're forming a kind of informal all marques car "club." Not a bad idea. I remember how fun it was following that Ferrari through the twisties on the Idaho run. In the final analysis, it's more about the laughs and the friendships than the cars themselves. For that reason, I hope we can continue having a joint car/bike adventure at least once a year.

Regards to all...

Thanks to all

All of your kind comments and recognition is testament to the fact that I wish to still be associated with each and every one of you. That’s for sure.

Anyway...

Todd; R&M was very good to deal with. They started what is now Ebay Motors, and they know how to do it. Frankly, if you want to move your car, expose it to the widest audience possible. With my sincerest advanced apologies to anyone offended, that is not CC, Cobra Country, nor the like. It is Ebay plain and simple. I would be happy to provide any info you need to proceed. Lets keep in touch for sure.

Jake: Your "R" rated video ain't play'in here. Guaranteed. However, I would be very honored to hang with you and your Harley buddies on my Polaris... I'm into Victory! Can we play?

Fred; WTF? Can't handle it? Your right!!! Now that is has a four barrel, and runs like it should have all along, I never would have been able to handle it. Cripes!!! It does in second now what it once did in 1st! You know, I'm thinking it would scare you!! Oh well, thanks for letting me tag along. I plan to stay a part of this fantastic group of folks. Thanks for suggesting that I should. Oh, BTW, the new owner is in Eureka, CA. So... bye bye Can Am.

Rich; we aren't all Rich. BCB at Fred's Sunday?

John; as a charter member, long time know, eh? Thanks for the kind words. I secretly yearned for a 289 FIA for years. If I could pull off what Jake speaks about, and build another garage as Rich suggests, I'd buy your 289 in a flash. Its my dream Cobra.

Clois; your on. My next visit to T-Town includes you. Thanks for the invite.

Walt; What can I say? The poopheadbob thing was a real bummer at first light. We quickly verified his authenticity, and the funds are already cleared. WHEW!!! Thanks for the testimony of the quality of the car. It is actually quite a nice ride.... especially for the price... poophead did well. And, one of only a handful in the US. I'm all for establishing the "former NW Cobra Club owners club". I think we are always welcome with this fine group of folks. Count me in.

Now, I need to sell that well-equipped "Kwicklift" to fund the bike lift. Any interested parties?

Regret to advise that "Poophead" is heading home today with his purchase. Home would be Eureka, CA. I gave him this link on the condition that he not use his real name!!! :3DSMILE:

Anyway.... life now goes on towards other venues.

Best Personal Regards to all......
