Portland historic races July 8-10
I just received the information for the Portland Hisitoric races / collector car corrals. The races will be July 8-10 with the car corrals being open on July 9-10. Mark your calendars. Tickets as before need to purcased through a club. Dead line is June 1 for ticket purchases.So we will need decisions and money by mid May. It is a ways off but keep it mind. It is a great event.
Prices have gone up $5 to $40 this year for all three days. They will also have the autocross (for fun)again this year and the lunch time collector car parade laps. The feaured car this year is the Shelby Mustang GT350R . Mark your Calendar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tim |

Hi Tim,
The car could be done if I would quit improving it :) :) Short story is that the drivetrain is in and motor fires and runs. Haven't driven it yet and just pulled the primary and sidepipes off and sent them to Russ Meeks for coating. That will take about 3 weeks and then it should be time to get it drivable. It might take a little longer as I just ordered a new wiring harness from KMP -- they just came out with a Painless based system. Of course, I have to make it more difficult by keeping the firewall populated with all the current lucas components and join the two harness together. Good news is that it WILL BE at the historics this year. I've got the ich pretty strong as I just got back from SAAC and some of crew had their cars at the track. Was cool to see, but would have rather seen it from inside kmp253 on the track. :) Scott |

I just saw the weather report for the weekend, and it looks like they are thinking rain....
How many are planning to go rain or shine? |
Since my wife and I would be driving down from Seattle we plan on skipping the event if it looks like rain.

This is the year to be at the Historics event. Today there was tons of Real Shelby's, Cobra's and I saw one red GT 40. I got my Hardtop finished and will have it on my car for this event so it can stay uncovered during the rains on this event. We have a great spot accross from the Starting line on the infield this year with the Shelby club and the Cascade Cobra club taking up that corner. Here are a couple teaser pictures I took today.
