At the turn of the key my pseudo world is instantly opened again. My existence is nestled somewhere between these two universes that I travel. A blip of the throttle and my gut rumbles along with the sweet note of the gleaming sidepipes. The highnoon summer sun warms my cheeks, the slight breeze lofts the essences of all that is familiar. As I grip the wheel I am instantly connected. I anticipate the rocket-like propulsion as my feet pass each other in unison. In the mirror, through the diaphanous white cloud, two black streaks jett out from under my time machiene as the surrounding scenery shrinks. For any other ordinary man this experience is interrupted by the revelation that a new day has begun. For me...I have already awaken.

Funny how a simple piece of machinery can transform a dull day into a trip through the valley of fire. Perry.:MECOOL: |
I've been biulding a shed to get everything out of the garage and off the patios. The car was moved first to my son's garage then to a friends . I got my garage cleared and made preperations to bring the car home. I was surprised at how much about the little things like where I insert the key I had forgotten. It came back to me in a hurry. I had no windsheild on the car so I wore a helmet. The helmet is full faced but I'll bet everyone within a block could see me smileing. Saturday morning about 10:30 from Fife on I-5 to S 74th in Tacoma. Two fender benders on I 5 made the trip allmost a crawl. The car has a speed it doesn't like and that was it. Idle is fine ,accelerating is great. Trying to carry the car at just above an idle doesn't work.the car starts surging . Back in my garage . Not much experience wearing a helmet. It's a lightweight carbon fiber DOT approved .The car and helmet tested my neck muscles . Still futsing with the details on the shed, I still have things to do on the car. I have to find the people to do them. Last summer got away from me. I knew I didn't know much about doing uppholstery, now I know I also am not a painter. The uppholsterer that I had planned on is now booked through next year.

I do enjoy the drink in moderation, Jake; however, it does not make me emotional. I wrote that at 2 am because I was working overtime and was bored stiff.

Jason,
Keep some of that O.T. money rat holed away for the Canada trip. I might need some at the gas stations. :JEKYLHYDE George-1 |
