Hey Fred / WSCB
Hi,
I'm sorry to say Bev and I won't make the Reno trip this year, even though we were signed up and ready to go. I'm retiring next month and have too many things to get done before then, including a trip to Arizona to look for a snowbird winter home:) Will try and catch you guys another time. Perry. |
Perry - Sorry to hear you and Bev won't be at the Bash this year. We will all miss your smiling faces and the stories for your "adventures" getting to the Bash and back home. The up side is that this year someone else will have a chance at the long distance award. Enjoy your retirement :D .

Congrats Perry,
Sorry to hear you guys aren't coming but sounds like for good reasons. I'm going to miss seeing your very special one of a kind car this year. Good luck and hope to see you in 2008! John |
Perry
Sorry to hear you won't be making the trip with us again. Where in AZ are you going to look. We just got back from spending myself (1 month) and Brenda (6 months) in Yuma. Got the house all done and the garage to a point I will be able to do something in it added outlets, light, 4 post lift, air compressor, floor done, air condition, vents and all the other good stuff. I get the car back from paint today so that means I've got to get it back together and I'm trying to add NOS before the Reno trip. Just hope I get it all done. Fred |
Dream Garage !
Fred,
Wow, That lift is what I want for my broken back ! Sounds great all the stuff for the garage, AC , now you're getting spoiled- haha. A couple tips on the nitros, it's best not to activate it until over 3,000 rpm ( rpm switch) can backfire through the carb, and a full throttle switch only to use it. A 150 hP shot should retard timing 4 to 6 degrees depending on the static compression of your Y block.Normally close the spark plug gap to 35 thou for nitros use, even with the mSD box. Brenda must be nice and tanned. We're leaving friday for Gilbert, just south of Mesa. Bev and I are looking at a 2 bedroom house in a golf community. Have a great trip ! Perry. |
Fred, are you guys moving down there permanently or just winter stuff?
Perry, sorry to hear you're not making it....Retirement will be nice though I'm sure! :) |
Brent
We will be making the snowbird routine still be up here for the smmer months, if we ever figure out when they are. Perry The NOS is still in the planning, the engine builder told me I can go up to a 100HP shot for each carb so we will see. Fred |
Busy
This retirement stuff is busy,Bev has so many jobs lined up for me , it was quieter at work.
Brent, I think you need a semi retirement from all the stuff you do. Fred , let us know when summer is around here too. 200 HP shot is alot of juice for the street, you may need diapers :) Perry. |
