New to Cobra world
Hey guys, I was posting in NorCal, but also would try here in NW Cobra Club forum.
Anyone in the Sacramento area have a Lonestar Classic 427 Cobra I could come and take a look at. That is the kit i'm thinking of building, and would like to see one in person. Also, if there are any other people in the Sacramento area that have Cobra Kits I could just take a peak at, I'd be very appreciative. Right now I'd doing research on which kit I want to buy. I'm located in Fair Oaks, CA. (Sacramento). Thanks guys! |
Most of the folks on the NW site are from the Seattle, Tacoma area. Just FYI
Good luck and welcome to Club cobra. Jake |
Doberman...Welcome to the madness that is Cobras...I am a former Sacramento residence(Howe ave./El Camino area) i still have lots of family in the Sacto. area...If you are serious about building a Cobra then do your homework and dont let your dream become a nightmare...I have a Midstates Cobra and i am very happy with the materials and workmanship of this kit(started with body and frame) i never had any issues with getting parts or advice from them(i also got parts at American Pastimes)...that beeing said Midstates is now owned by Shell Valley(about 10 years now)...the company has changed hands and is doeing well ,call and ask for Travis. ONLY deal with Travis and get all their info on their Cobras i think you will like what you see....oh and tell Travis that Bob Q. from Columbus sent ya....

Doberman,
Best bet might be to link up with the NorCal Cobra Club and attend some their breakfast meet-ups. You'll be able to see and compare a variety of cars. http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/norcal-cobras/ You might want to also think about attending the Wine Country Classic in Sonoma on 8/2. There could be up to 60 Cobras there. http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/north-bay-cobras/97429-wine-country-cobra-classic-ii.html |

I am also a new fan of the Cobra, I am researching which kit to buy and build. So far I like B&B and have seen the SV and Midstates cobra. I also took a trip to Nebraska and saw their shop. They are fine machines and make most of their parts there. I live in Folsom, by the outlets, have meet some cobra fans that meet on Wed nite a Brookfields. Third Wed of the month. Happy researching. I'm going to have to check out Brookfields too, i've never heard of it. My wife and I are going to hit the Cobra Wine event in Sonoma to check out a bunch of cobras Aug. 2. -Doberman |
