Club Member Makes it Big - Agent Needed
Last Tuesday during the Tony Roma's Restaurant Cruise-In in Westlake, Ohio, "The owner of the yellow Cobra" (yours truly) was summoned to the DJ booth. There, the manager approached me. He wanted to feature my car on a limited edition set of dash plaques to be presented to attendees on 9-17 .
Fellow Ohio Cobra Club member, Dan Stryffeler, being an astute businessman immediately went into action, despite not having his car selected. His selfless businesslike demeanor parlayed this "wow, what a compliment" into a gift certificate for dinner for my wife and I, and a couple extra plaques once they are manufactured. I was not too many hundred miles from you in 1998. Evansville, IN and lucked out at a cruise in too. My Classic Car was filming at the Sonic and me 'n the Snake got on TV. Pretty short interview, because my TV persona stinks, but there none the less. Sounds like we both have a bit left of the old 15 minutes of fame and glory. See if you can get a scan or picture of the plaque to post. I'd like to see it. I'm sure the rest of the gang would too. |

Now I've got to track two threads in response to this evil turn of events... the truth is I turned down the photo shoot because of my prior commitment as an 'oil boy' to the Hawaiian Tropic Girls tour. All they had left was Steve's car and a Messerschmidt. Dan |
