Maybe we need to convert them all to those 4 x 4 Cobras someone was talking about!

Lawton? Spent 11 years at Ft. Sill on 3 different hardship tours! What do you do?

We will need 4x4 Cobra here soon. Week ago last Monday we got 27" of snow. Something like 54" so far this winter.

f4steri,
I have an office equipment company. We have over 300 digital copier/printers out at the post. How long ago has it been since you where stationed at Ft Silly?

Moved the snowblower out of the way (literally), fired up the Beast, and off we went into the abnormally warm 58 degree Cincinnati rural roads. Perfect weather, blasting around the back roads and toodling around the small towns hereabouts. No wheel to wheel combat, just an occasional thumbs up from similarly middle-aged Harley riders. No donuts in the parking lot, just an occasional chirp from the tires saying "hey, man, the road's cold."
This will be one of the last rides before the new heads go on (you listening, Eric?) and I was pretty overwhelmed with gratitude for the experience this machine has afforded me, a much broader and more involving "hobby" than I expected. The forecast suggests maybe I can sneak another ride in, maybe not. That's the way of it up here.
To all my Cobra bretheren and sisteren, Happy Holidays and a fun-filled and safe New Year.

Amen to the heat in the summer in OK. Early morning and late evenings are the only times to drive. Don't have AC in the Cobra. However, it the winter, we get a many good driving days. So far, in December we have had a couple of days with temps in the mid 70's and many days in the mid 60's. I've lived here since 82. Lived in Millburn, NJ before that.

At least with a Cobra you can out run all those tornados! Yesterday we had a rare late december ohio day, high 50's. You could pry me out of the car.

Ohio's not immune to tornado's either. I also lived in Aurora, Ohio from age 5 to 13 and spent 1 summer when I was 16 working at Geauga Lake Amusement Park. I think it may be a 6 Flags now. I used to walk around with a short broom and a dust pan on a stick picking up trash. When I wasn't picking up trash, I was trying to pick up girls. Oh to be a young Lion again!

Yep, we get them. But not near the frequency we used to.
