Default Wholly Joe's Cruise In

Anyone ever gone to the weekly Tuesday night cruise in at Wholly Joe's on Polaris Pkwy. in the Columbus area? Wholly Joe's is a hot dog place in one of the strip malls along Polaris Pkwy. west of Polaris mall. I've been wanting to stop by this summer, but haven't had the time yet.

When I worked in that area a few years ago, I used to go there for lunch regularly.

The Italian Beef Sandwich is killer. I forget all the terminology, but you have to get it dipped in au jus (FTF) sauce. Onion rings? Wholly $hit, that's all I have to say.

Too bad it's on Tuesday nights... Columbus is a tough weeknight haul from Cleveland. On a weekend, I'd make the trek for one of those sloppy, dripping sandwiches.

My family had other plans last night, but I did talk them into driving by Wholly Joe's. There were between 10 and 15 rods / muscle cars. Not bad for a small weekly event.

JP, I was born and raised in Chicago (home of the Italian Beef sandwich). I always ordered them "wet". They would spoon the juices over the open sandwich. Great stuff. Almost needed a knife and fork.

I have never even heard of Wholly Joes. Guess I will have to check them out.

Nice size show/cruise in at the Lube on Sunday. They had a drawing for a trip for two to Hawaii!

Rick, you have to go to Wholly Joe's...the italian beef sandwich is truly amazing.

I know a little about your food and beverage tastes and I think you will not be disappointed.

Have to order it "wet" though...and get the onion rings. Best ever...
