Paperwork sent in!
I've mailed all of my paperwork to Oklahoma Tax Commission so that they can assign me a VIN# and all the other stuff I need to get a title & tag and be street legal! Woohoo!! Get the women and children off of the sidewalks, here I come! Just joking, I've been very careful when I've been go karting.
Anyone that's done this process in Okla; do you remember how long it took them to get back to you? I called them to make sure I had everything in order before I mailed it today, they said 4-6 wks. My local tag agent said 6-8 wks. But, I've got acquaintances who've done the same with street rods, and they say 2-3 wks. And, I'm interested in how other Okla titles came back to you? Titled as '65 Cobr@ or '65 Roadster or 2011 homebuilt? Just curious, it is what it is. I'm already insured thru Robbin @ Midwest Classic. I'm just anxious now! It's not painted, I just want to put some miles on it while I'm working on seams, etc. |

It took a little over two months for my tags & title to come back to me but I've talked to some others around here with Cobra's & it only took them about a month or so, go figure. I was told it couldn't be registered in OK as a 65 Cobra. Mine is registered as a 2007 model year and lists the make as an alpha-numeric code. Good choice of insurance providers! |
Got my paperwork w/VIN# on May 24th, went to tag office on May 25th, I've got a tag, and my title will come by mail in 3-5 days! Titled as 1965 Factory Five.
I'm on the road, driving in gel coat! Yippee!! Life is good!! |
