Most Cobras have near or better than 50/50 weight distribution due to the setback location of the powertrain. The extra weight of a big block makes the car a bit heavier overall, but does not make the car nose-heavy or impact handling dynamics due to placing excessive weight over the front wheels.

I agree. My Roush 427IR was one of my favorite power plants (after I got the fuel injection part sorted out). Not only lots of HP but the torque great too.

Congrats, Mike, on your purchase. Looks like there are at least 4 Cobra owners in the area. Nice to have local resources should there be a need.
