question about nose opening
I have a ffr mk3.1 and I am replicating a 66 S/C.
I just starting on my body work and have a question. Now I know that I need to roll the cockpit edges to look like the body is wrapped around a round tube. But what about the nose opening? On the ffr body it is flat. Should this have a rounded edge as well? Can someone shoot me a picture of the nose edges? Thanks. |

Ahhh, so the roll is on the front and then just laid back flat.
Phew, that saves me a little work! I read somewhere that there was something different with the FFR nose? Maybe the ol cooler opening or something? Anyone know what is different with the FFR nose that I need to change while I am in body work mode??? Thanks for the answers guys! |
What you're looking for is the rolled opening for the radiator should go all the way around the opening like the Kirkham in the photo, on the FFR the area between the radiator opening and the oil cooler opening is flat and needs to have the rolled edge built up across this area. I believe they have corrected this on the FFR MkIV.

Yep that's the one FFR-4000, and yes I had the front turn signal bosses removed along with the drop butt and correct trunk lid. All the body work has been done with the exception of the lower rolled section and the paint. I have had the body at my house in primer for a while now but I hope to get it back to Ken (SRP) soon to have him finish the lower area and paint. When I'm done I can post some photos then.
