Suspension Design Characteristics...
Hi All,
I was interested to know, if anyone has some good relevant data as to the suspension design characteristics on the CSX cars. Items such as Roll Angle range, Camber and Toe gains and losses, Roll centers, Center of gravity... things of the such. I'm doing a scratch build and getting started designing my IRS. It would be interesting to know what the benchmarks are, and see how things stack up. Thank you for any knowledge you can share !! Mike. |
What is your goal? To duplicate the original suspension, or to design the "optimum" suspension? Things have changed a lot since 1965.

Hi,
No, I'm not lookin to duplicate it as I am going with the TBird rear, but I was interested in understanding a benchmark. How much Roll cobra's endure on average and such. That way I can design my IRS to accomodate proper camber gains. So I guess 'optimum' for my application is my aim. The only thing I wish to recreate from 1965 is a jaw dropping beatiful car ! Thanks, Mike. |
