CSX2000 at SEMA 2011
In the Ford Booth at SEMA this year was CSX2000, noted to be Carroll's favorite. I am sure there a lots of photos on CC by now of the first ever Cobra, but thought you guys just might like a few more!
Still looks good after all these years … really admire the 'unrestored' condition. Enjoy! I took my family during sema to the Shelby Museum and the car was gone, it was at sema so we saw it there, when you do the museum tour they say its priceless, good pics, nice camera.
|
Im sorry, but the seats have to go, store them in the basement.
|
Nice pics, thanks for sharing. Love the paint chip pic and the undercarriage pic.

I assume that this was the car that Shelby offered for magazine tests in 1962 after repainting between outings to give the impression that there was a fleet of them. If I remember the story correctly, it was fitted with a highly modified 260 instead of the more prosaic version that went into customer cars. The R&T test blew away any contemporary street car: 0-60 in 4.2 and the quarter in 12.2 at 112 mph. Those were more like 427 numbers.

Looks pretty ruff. Carroll must have really fallen on hard times!
|
That car is worth more money than you can imagine!!!
|
I dunno, I can imagine quite a bit.
-Han Solo  |
Priceless!
|
Sweet share! Thank you:cool:
|
Great pics thanks for sharing. It looks the same (new blue) color as 3015.
|
Thanks guys!
Maybe one of these times the hood will be open, would be neat to see the motor and associated bits. |
Are those hood logo's still made?
I was just at the book store. I saw a buyers guide and every Shelby had something like unable to quote price. |

Can't be REAL! Glove box door is not signed!
|
At the museum tour the story is that CS has turned down $25M for the car, and he has made explicit direction that anyone that does anything to the seats will be executed.
