Original 427 Street fuel filler neck

I have been lucky enough to find an original street 427/ 289 fuel filler cap made by Ceandess with the correct 'key hole' catch, it is not in perfect condition, by hay, they don't come up very often, do they. and it did not cost me much :D

It has a slightly odd filler neck (base), so I think it may have been fitted to a motorbike as it has 3 small screws that point towards the centre, spaced around the edge of a very small plain flange.

I would like to recreate an original wing mounted 'Street' filler
I have therefore been researching what an original filler neck looks like.
I have found a couple of pics which suggest it is a short plain spout, (unlike the 289 which has a thread on the spout to screw into the tank.)

so far I am thinking that the Presto 75 neck #05387002AAB (2" 1/4 dia and 2" 1/2 tall) is about right.
I have also found a Jensen Healey (which was made at about the same period-ie late 60's early 70's) and has a neck dia of 2" 1/4 , over 2" high and made of steel.

Any one got any better info or knows if the correct neck was fitted to any other vehicles.

I have two necks here. One is a serrated sleeve to grip into the fiberglass on a bike tank. The other is the threaded screw in type.

Could not find a better seal/grommet.... should I have one or should it just be a hole?

I just found this grommet in the plumbing supply of Home Depot. I think it was a seal for a toilet tank or something. Thought it looks pretty good if not completely original. I have a threaded spout on mine that ERA welded a short section of straight pipe to, to fit the filler hose.

Before anyone says anything - I know the ribbed release button is not original in appearance.

Remember vent pipe on neck. Mine without It needs careful fueling Otherwise spills on Happy Hose-man's pants.
