FIA toggle switches

All,
I've tried a couple of searches to no avail.

Does anyone know a source or part number for the toggle switches used on this car?

I'm assembling an original dash and have all the proper gauges, just need the toggle switches.

Thanks,

Ron

Ron,

I assume you received the blank dash, vinyl and tach? I forgot to email you and let you know they were on the way.

The aux. tank brackets will follow in a little while, Ross just returned today from the factory.

Not a problem on the other stuff. I love the car. It is actually the perfect thing for me. The car is rock solid sorted, so I can find little things to upgrade to original looking over time.

I had an original speedo duplicated
I have found a 10psi fuel pressure gauge and had it restored
I found an original 250deg water temp gauge and am having it restored
I found an original 325deg oil temp gauge and will have it restored
I found an original looking ammeter and will have it restored

Future stuff
I bought a floor mounted high beam switch (need to make a foot rest)
Swap out the fuse box for a period appearing piece

I'm fretting over whether or not to mount the mirrors on the body like it would have raced.

Fun stuff in that I can mess with it a couple hours then drive it.

Ron, have you looked through Mcmaster Carr at their toggle switches?
They may have the same switches.

I found mine at Warbird Parts Buy several as they are OLD and not so reliable. See

To further Rick's War Birds link, I found switches in the "miscellaneous" section of their site..

MissAirctraftItems

Use your brower's "Find on this page" function (under Edit if using IE) and type "switch"..IE should highlight all the different switches they have listed on the page.

Also, this project sounds interesting...please continue this thread or another with pics of your process/results. I know I'm interested for one!

X2 ...Got some from Warbirds. Had to search around a little on their site, but they are great switches and well worth chasing

Ron,
very pleased to see you finishing off the finer detail
The toggles I sent to S.A came from these guys
Toggle Switches from Aircraft Spruce
The factory was concerned re availabilty, reliability, pricing etc and I knew if anyone wanted it was "easily" modified.

Hi All,
I am not trying to hi-jack anything here, but I really need to know where the Sprint Cup Guy's get their really long and large toggle switch covers. Anybody have any idea?
Thanks a lot,
Byron W.
