AC Cobra MK IV- Spare Parts

I intend to buy a Cobra MK IV by Autocraft. Can anybody tell me, where I can get spare parts, which are only produced for this car?
Further I'd like to know if there is a list, where alll the parts from other cars (like gearbox, diff, steering, brakes etc.) are taken from.

Thanks for your help

Look in the "AC MK IV" section here on Club Cobra. Many of the parts and sources are discussed there. Some items are only available via Brooklands Motor or Hawk Cars who have undertaken to supply parts and service for the MK IV.

Google "AC owners club". There is a forum with a lot of great info. Also more info here as Rick said. Search AC MKIV.

Also affirming Mk IV's post, Hawk Cars in England is a great source. Also, AC Heritage in England and Brooklands. Dragon Wheel Restorations in England is a good resouce. The owner, Alan Faulkner Stevens is the Mk IV Registrar for the AC Owners Club. The AC Owners Club is an amazing resource. There is a dedicated forum for the Mk IV on the web site. Joining the club is a great idea as well. The community is fantastic and one member recently helped me source a heater core from a European Ford that was unobtainium here in the U.S. Keep in mind that the parts for Mk IV's are made up of a hodge podge of parts from different cars, including Euro Fords, BMW and Peugeot. Some parts are impossible to find in the U.S. So, if you plan to buy one, keep this in mind. My Mk IV is currently undergoing some major refurbishment. My shop has been able to deal with most of the parts situations, but the heater core was a real stumper until a fellow AC owner (Club member) in England assisted as mentioned. Other than that it is a fantastic car and a continuation of the original AC cars shipped to Carroll Shelby long ago. It is not a kit car but the "real deal"....a real AC with a tremendous heritage.
