Trunk weatherstripping
I was looking at an old magazine road test of a 427 Roadster yesterday that showed a detail that 427Street had mentioned to me before. The trunk weatherstripping ends in the bottom corners right after the corner radius. There isn't any weatherstripping across the lower thresdhold.
It's a detail whose reason and purpose have probably been lost to time but I'm curious why they did it this way? Possibly the trunk gets pressurized from air movement at speed and this vented it - or something like that? If not it must have gotten pretty dusty in there. I'm not planning to duplicate it on my car.

Bubba on the trim line ran out of weatherstriping! Have never noticed that before.......

What is the best glue to use? I'm trying to use some D shaped rubber 10mm.

3M black weatherstriping adhesive - available in most auto parts stores.

Thank you. I'll try that. Is that like a contact, or do you clamp it? And what is the best way to clamp it?

It tacks very quickly. Usually I put a thin bead down on the body and then apply the weatherstrip to it and quickly separate the two slightly and then then re-apply the weatherstrip back again. It's pretty stuck in position by then. I usually work in short sections and just apply it to 4 or 5 inches at a time. I use masking tape at corners to help hold it in position for a few hours until it is cured. I also try to be careful to not stretch or pull the weatherstrip when putting it on, especially in corners. That can cause it to pull loose over time as it shrinks back slightly. If you smear some on the paint it can be removed carefully with something like Dupont Prep Sol. 3M makes a release agent if you ever have to remove and replace it after it is fully cured.

Jim, would you mind posting a link to your source?
Right now the weatherstripping on my trunk is just the kind of stuff you put on a house door to keep drafts out....foam rubber with adhesive on the back, available at WalMart and any Home Depot type store. I would really rather use an automotive type product.
