Too easy. Let's work on a solution for the real deal. Funny, when you consider that I drive a fiberglass Shelby! By the way, I finally added a photo album to show a few shots of my vehicle. I think mine is the same color as CSX3360. Not sure why, but when you go into my profile, you have to go to the right side of the screen and click on my album.

The brake bleeder looks like a little box (tubular) wrench. I'd like to see one a bit closer up.
What size belt do you wear? The straps would be easy to rivet together. I'm not sure 427 SC's and Comps carried a spare. |

I suspect you're right about the SC model not carrying a spare. If I'm not mistaken, the SCs originally came about in an effort for Shelby American to sell more cars. I believe they took a few comp cars that were already produced (and sitting without buyers), and performed a mild conversion to street, resulting in the SC model. My 4000 series car is pretty consistent with the original SCs as far as I can tell, but with a couple of discrete liberties that I took to make the car more street friendly. For example, I added a heater/defroster and ran the hoses down/behind the motor, along the oil pan rail and back up the front of the motor to the water pump and the expansion tank. The switch for the unit is mounted behind the dash where only I know where to locate it. It's only noticable if you're really paying attention. Same goes for the defroster vents; they're so commonplace on Cobras that you tend to not notice them unless you're paying attention to the fact that this is an SC. I stayed with vinyl seats, no glove box, no map pockets, etc. Anyway, I'm of the opinion that the addition of a spare tire, jack, toolkit and grease gun is a good idea for a car that will likely be driven on the street most of it's life. You've got a good eye Nick. (I suspect you'd also be the guy who notices the heater/defroster on my SC.) They've been that way for years and I never thought of it. I only noticed how odd it was that the front quickjacks were so close to the radiator opening. Now I know what I'll be doing for a couple of hours on Saturday!

OK I was searching for rear sway bar info and got back to here. I have in my hands right now a real deal Shelley LJ22 jack. I have had a quote for making patterns for casting them up. I have most of the machined parts drawn up in CAD and ready to go. Anyone want to commit to the jack project with me to at least cover pattern making costs? I think it may be around that price at least to produce them. Obviously price depending on batch size which is why I'm here. I only have one brake bleeder tool left from the first batch.
