The tool kit: I hope you guys are e-baying
For those of you wanting to build a tool kit, I hope you are regularly watching e-bay.
Elora 100 spanners regularily come up on the UK, German and Australia e-bay sites. It only took me about 5 or 6 weeks of watching to assemble a complete set of Elora 100 spanners. It looks like the 8" on the screwdriver is the shank and blade length? The one in the toolkit pictures hows it as long as the Thor hammer.

Hi Mickmate. Yeah, that's my guess too. I've "scaled" the various pics and used my Thor hammer as the standard and I'm guessing the total length of the screwdriver to be about 11.5" to 12" which would give a shank length of between 7" and 8" dependent on the actual handle length.
