Bootlid wiring
Could anyone tell me how the wiring to the numberplate lamp was held in place in a street 289? I guess it should be tucked into the gap between the trunk lid aluminium skin and the steel frame tubing, but what holds it in place? I could drill the aluminium return from the skin edge that wraps around the tubing and fit cable ties, but I don't want to unless the originals did that.

Lucas brand plated steel clamps and screws to the framing tubing.
