Windshield wiper blades for CSX3331

Anyone know which cars used the Trico windshield wiper blades that were used on original 427 Cobra? I vaguely remember the early Jaguars as one possibility. A source for buying the blades from?

The original wiper blades were Lucas, not Trico. A very good reproduction of the original wiper blades is available from British Spares on E-Bay. I believe the ones available from Moss Motors are the same (look for Austin Healey 3000 blades). The only difference is the Lucas name and patent numbers are not on the metal part.

Thank you for your reply. I went to the link site you sent and found 56,000 offers/auctions. I could not find the ones you found. Could you direct me to the actual page, since there are 56K items to scroll through.

Call the Murray's at the Shelby American Collection tomorrow (Sat) 10A-4P. You've got a real and original car, and restoration parts aren't going to be available on ebay.

What kind of end on the windshield wiper arm do the blades you are offering require? Would it be possible for you to send me a side (expanded) view photo of this blade? Thank you for your info. Barry Simmons

Barry, The original Cobra wiper arms are Lucas with "wrist action type blade attachment" a crescent shaped end that hooks into the proper wiper blade. The Cobra arms were 10 1/2 inches long, with a 10 degree right hand bend near the tip for both 289 and 427 Cobras. The wipers shown in the link are correct for those wiper arms. If you need photos of my originals on CSX 3288, send me a PM.

Jim, will this work?

Cobra products from Holden Vintage & Classic

Jim Maxwell 05-25-2013 10:02 AM

Those will not work with the original style wiper blades.

mickmate 05-25-2013 03:27 PM

They are a collet style with a little shaft, he wants the splined shaft.
