Holley ID?
Hi All
Looking for a bit of info on a Holley we have I'm pretty sure it is of a 427 2X4 but is it a Cobra? List is 3301 date code C5AF-9510-BC any info would be much appreciated cheers |
Here is one on ebay:
Ford FE Blue Thunder 2x4 Intake and Holley Carburetors | eBay So you have the rear carb from this setup, no choke mechanism. |

that will tell you if it is an original ford piece or a repop. these are available new....Carl's shows out of stock right now. Carl's Ford Parts http://www.carlsfordparts.com/parts_...ys_new3_24.JPG |
Thanks guys
The numbers (in order) on the carb are C5AF-9510-BC LIST-3301 743 and yes Gary no choke cheers |
ok the 743 is your date code
7= 1967 4= April 3= week of the month to say what car, if any, is impossible. it could have been sold over the counter, or come on any 2x4 factory setup. but all we know now is the center section of the carb...it could have been outfitted with any number of metering blocks over the years....basically its a used original rear carb |
Ok thanks
Is there any chance of picking up a list 3300? Or am I best to cut my losses and go for a pair of 1850s? btw they would be going on top of a stroked 360 and not a 427 cheers |
If you can't get original, why not go for something that will work better?
Like a pair of QFTs, Holley Ultra, or TMP carbs? |
Thanks Gary
To be honest I hadn't heard of either QFT's or TMP's I need something to fit my dual quad manifold so am I not stuck with 4160's? cheers |

Barry at survival motorsports has a bolt on 2x4 setup made with Quick fuel carbs,(QFT) Survival2x4 Carbs http://survivalmotorsports.com/images/IMG_4208.JPG others here have them on their cars, i haven't heard a single negative report on them so far |
Very nice setup there
I like the externally adjustable secondaries. The manifold is a single plain low riser Offy cheers |

Thanks for the info Gary
I couldn't find the carbs in 'FWB's' set up the catalog (side hung float bowls) Never thought of using Eddy's do they have the same 'footprint' as the Holley's? cheers |
