The correct Lucas part for the leafspring cars was available with two spray holes or one. Both look the same (apart from an extra hole!), but as far as I know the single hole is correct for the AC.

I do see a listing Kevin for original windscreen sprayer jets. I'd need to see a photo though or link to one. Not sure if that's because I'm on my phone though.
I'll look later once home. Larry |

The little trim plate is a pressed sheet. I have seen some modern repops that are made from billet.
http://imageshack.com/a/img809/9673/4vou.jpg I saw them on an e-bay listing as being from BMC, Jaguar XK, MK2, E Type, Daimler V8,Aston Martin, Jaguar MK 1 and MK 2's up to the end of March 1965, the similar Daimler V8 cars, the early Jaguar E Types, Aston Martins, MG Magnette, Wolseley and Riley saloons. Try plugging all that into a search. |
That's exactly what mine look like.

Not the same but very similar and possible to change for other jets:

Fair enough Roger.
They do look beautiful in Nick's pic. Although I was very tempted to hold out for a set of these on my car, based on the beautiful workmanship alone (even tho' incorrect for a 427) in the end I got a nice set of NOS Trico jets to go with the Trico bottle I got (which also isnt correct for a S/C ;) ) I think mine are in fact not quite the right type of jet, as its possible it sticks out the housing too much, Im happy. Having two seperate jets also meant i then had to move the windscreen wipers, as I discovered they were way out from the center line of the car. |

Found them on a Bizzarrini and a Daimler 250 SP last weekend in SPA

I spoke with the chap at Four Ashes Garage this week regarding the remanufacture of these. This stopped a month or two back due to the cost of tooling for the stamped oval bases, but he thinks it's back on track again and may have some news in a month or two. Maybe some enquiries from others would prompt him to get going?

I too was after a spare set, not all the parts were to be remade at that time.
Guess I need to cherish the ones I have. |
I think the problem is that most cars that came with the jets still have them and only nuts like me are looking for them for replicas. It's not cost effective to produce them. I'd like to have a spare set "just in case" but I don't want to pay a lot for spares. Maybe if/as 289's become more popular, it'll become cost effective to reproduce them.

Bringing back an old thread, but this helped me with some research today and wanted to provide current resources. In the researching I found this catalog which outlines the Lucas Windshield Wiper and Screenjet parts including the individual service parts.
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/a...enjets_etc.pdf On page 44 you'll see the Screenjet parts, and for the single jet for 289 cars should be the following parts: Nozzle Assembly - 295112 Nozzle - 295006 Upper Plate - 295067 Lower Plate - 295068 Gasket - 295268 Spanner - 770652 Screw - 186147 For sourcing sprayer nozzles, as had been mentioned previously Four Ashes Garage is remaking the nozzle and according to their website are working to remake the upper plate currently. https://www.fourashesgarage.co.uk/as...ts-gasket-kits Another source, on eBay user captainrobin is selling NOS Lucas assemblies including nozzle, upper plate, lower plate, gasket, and screws. I just placed an order for a set, so will take a couple weeks to make it across the Atlantic. Robin was able to share a picture of the assemblies and was quick to respond to any questions. eBay auction listing |
