cobra key chain medallion
Hello everyone i have a 1966 shelby america key chain medallion that from the info i have found so far was given to Employee's at the plant in 1966. i don't have a pic yet so here's a description: it's brass round a little bigger then a quarter has the snake with the words cobra from left to right through the lower center and the other side has Shelby America's address in the center and around the address it say's drop in any mail box postage guaranteed. any information on this would be greatly appreciated thank's

Rather than issued to employees I think that key ring probably came with a cobra. I'm sure there will be a number of forum members that will have more info for you though.

The plated brass assemblies with return address on the back went out the door with new cars. There was much cheaper facsimile cast in pot metal with nothing on the reverse sold via mail order as an accessory. Original key chains and factory keys are highly prized little detail parts for owners of original cars now. Lots of original keys have survived but few of the new car key chains seemed to have survived in any condition. New car key chains in great original condition are pretty rare now.
