289 Windscreen Washer Jet - Source
Hey all,
A friend found this and sent it to me. I have a set but thought I'd pass this along in case anyone is looking for a source for sprayer jets. Larry DB MkIII Lucas screen washer jets / nozzles & jet holders (ball fitting type) |
Nice find, wonder if they are really in stock?
|
Not sure. I haven't contacted them but it sounds like they are reproducing the jet along with nos trim pieces. Possibly they'll reproduce the trim once they run out of old stock.

I ordered 2 sets.
As Larry said, they are CNCd stainless nozzles with NOS cover, plate, gasket and screws. They have plenty of nozzles, but only 18 or so cover plates..so I'd get them sooner than later. The nozzles are easy to make.. but the covers? Not so much. Price isn't bad either, considering what the ridiculous prices used ones are fetching on Ebay. |
Great Find, and what a fantastic finishing off touch to your car.
Enjoy |
Got the nozzle assemblies in from above link in England, wow! The nozzles look dead on to the OEM ones (which I have for reference), and the covers and plates are the real deal.
I know someone who is reallllly gonna like these : ) Get 'em before they are gone, guys- |
I spoke to the guys yesterday - they have no cover plates left. He reckons a month or so as they have a pattern to make new ones.
I've ordered two complete units and will post on here when they arrive. I have some complete originals I can compare them with. Roger |
Are these some of the windshield washer jets in question?
VINTAGE SCREEN WASH JETS WITH MOUNTING PLATES.1970'S LUCAS TRICO-BRASS PLATED | eBay |
Very similar. Those don't appear to be complete - there should be two base plate parts for each jet, one for above (which are in the photo) and one for beneath, to locate the 'ball' (which are not in the photo). Also those are twin jet, whereas I believe correct AC ones were single jet.
|
Yes but as rsk points out, the base plates and gaskets are missing. The base plate pinches the ball when the screws are tightened, holding it in place.
