Hydraulic hose unions
Can anyone tell me what original street leafspring cars had as unions to the brake calipers? I have seen the chassis manual reprint which shows the rears as using a banjo fixing, and I think the clutch slave cylinder had the same. Did the front calipers also have banjo fixings, or did the hose screw directly into the casting?
Thanks
Roger

One design brass banjo fitting was used for brake calipers and the clutch slave cylinder. Rare as a service part now, they were common five decades ago and used by several different car manufactures.

Thanks Dan - was it banjo fitting for the front calipers also? I've seen the banjo fittings on rears and clutch, but I've been told by a UK owner that the front calipers had a short thread direct into the caliper with a copper washer to seal.

All brake calipers and clutch slave cylinder used the same design for banjo, copper washers, and banjo bolt with circles logos which are very handy in making hoses go the directions they need to go.
