Wow! What great attention to details!

Nice job!

Great detail work. Those look great.

Guys,
Thank you for your comments! At the beginning of the project I assumed the passenger would lose a few inches of seat travel. I was wrong, the seat will still reach to the full rear position. My wife appreciates that. :) David |
Excellent, David.
I can't tell from the pic, is the bracket holding the switch welded to the tray? |

The Battery pack/tray has turned out excellent, the attention to detail make for an overall great project, very well done! |
They look great!
How much for a pair including shipping to Dallas? Or do you include shipping for Cyber Tuesday! 😄 |

The wing nuts....I can probably locate. The time I spent fabbing the battery studs was surprisingly ludicrous. Was able to listen to a lot of Pandora music during the machining, LOL. I'd be glad to make a pair for you but waiting for the battery caps to come to market could take a while. Feel free to PM me. David |
Hi David,
This guy seems to have an almost unlimited supply of reproduction Tiltite caps without the logo. I have some NOS Tiltite caps but would I need to cut the bottom off of mine to make my reproduction Rebat and I just can't do it. I bought these since I will be painting them orange. Also a lot less money: 30 40 50s Aircraft Race Car Anti Spill Tiltite Style Battery Caps Autolite | eBay |
Excellent work David. Very well done and the labels look good. ;)

I had reservations about removing the threads from the NOS caps, but I justified doing so because they'll be used for nothing else but these repro batteries. When this set of batteries die, I can remove the caps and re-use them on the next set, and so on. **) David |
I still have time to change my mind. If the batteries turn out as well as I am hoping, I might be willing to use the Tiltites. That is why I am hanging on to them. Caps will be about the last part of the project.
Your batteries came out awesome by the way. Great job as always. |

Unfortunately that poly strip conflicted with the angled metal hold-down strap, and the battery just didn't look right with the poly strip. That's when I decided to go surgical on the battery caps. :D David |
