2008 SAAC cobra registry

Hey guys, first post for me on this site. Have a small request. 50 years ago my dad owned CSX 2452. I have a copy of page 110 of the Shelby American World Registry from 1997 and was wondering if there has been any changes in the 2008 version? Recently we've been in contact with the current owner but do not think he has the 2008 registry book. I've seen how $ the books are, just looking for any updated information on 2452. Could one of you scan that page and either post it here or email it to me? JLhimebauch@hotmail.com. Also is there another update in the works? My dad's information will likely be updated the next time the registry comes out.
Thank you,
Jason

The car is currently in Paris, France, owned by Claude Demole. What more do you want to know?

Thanks Ned, was hoping for a scan of the actual page for 2452. If Claude Demole owns the car apparently I'm not in contact with the current owner! Hmm, the plot thickens!
It appears Claude owns #2457.

Can anyone help me out with a scanned image of the registry page for CSX 2452?

Sorry, I mis-read your initial post. Your father's car is in CT. Have you been speaking with Bob?

Ned, I've been in contact a few times through email with Todd Kurtz. May be some relation with Bob?

I believe the intention of SAAC is that the registries are updated roughly every decade.

Also, while the 1997 version contains Cobras, GT40's, Coupes, Shelby Mustangs, etc., all together, the 2008 version has them split out into separate registries Cobras/GT40's/Coupes, then 1065-1967 Shelby Mustangs and finally 1968-1970 Shelby Mustangs, IIRC. They were separated because of all the new info as well as adding the Shelby Continuation models, SPF Coupes, SPF GT40's and Kirkhams.

Maybe his son. In any event, you're knocking on the right door. What the registry shows is that the first owner of the car we know about was Robert Williams, who had it by the early 70's. Your dad's ownership clearly precedes that, so any data you can provide will be (a) greatly appreciated, and (b) added to the car's history in the database. BTW, have any photos?

Ned I only have the one photo from when my dad owned the car, hoping my grandmother has a few old slides hidden away at her house. I have a copy of my dad's purchase invoice which shows the chassis number, which is how I was able to track down the car. It helps it was restored back in ~2009 so that's how I was able to track down the current owner, it was part of the restoration shops website pics. We are excited to see the car at a show sometime in the future, the current owner has been very nice. Can't imagine it gets driven all that much! The current owner was going to update the registry information. We are fairly certain my dad was the 2nd owner of the car. We are in the process of finding out more information from the previous owners son, who still lives in the town my dad grew up. It has been really fun for me and also my dad, brings back a lot of memories, mostly that he shouldn't have sold the car;)

And here is a more recent pic of the car, sorry couldn't add it to the previous post. Pretty sure this is from the Amelia Island Concours event back in 2009.
Looks awesome, would love to lay my eyes on this car in person!

Thanks Rod, I'm guessing the registry is a very interesting read, I may just need to invest in a copy, after my dad's info is updated of course :3DSMILE:

Nice story.

Jason, your dad's car originally came out of Michigan, whereas Bob Williams, who owned it in the 70's, was from Atlanta, GA. So, like many of these cars did, this one moved around. It's got to be fun for you learning the details about the car and we'll help any way we can. Look for a private message from me.

Thanks Ned, the site seems to be up and down so just retrieved your email address, hope to PM you soon.

Jason -

I took these pictures of CSX2452 at the Concours D'Elegance of America at St. John's in Plymouth, MI, in July, 2011.

As you can see by the background, it's probably the same time & place the photo from ConceptCarz was taken.

Pretty cool to see the car is still on the road and being loved fifty years later.:)
