Racing goggles used by the team drivers
Another strange originality question:
What racing goggles were typically used by the team drivers during the 60's?

They most likely purchased them from either Vilem B. Haan or MG Mitten who were the primary purveyors of "motoring accessories" in the US.

I'm not 100% sure but I think Miles wore Stadium goggles.

Gurney, Clark and many others used the US military type rubber framed goggles. They would also use electrical tape to cut down on the height of the lens, sort of providing a sun visor effect.

This post kind of begs the question, if you were going to wear some type of vintage clothes or outfit, what would that look like?

Halcyon googles were fairly popular as were Chapal gloves.

Great info guys. Seems Halcyon vintage RAF WWII reproductions are available from European suppliers.
