Who is this owner "Manuel" you speak of?

Mark IV 07-04-2015 05:51 PM

Juan Manuel......Holy Fangio!!!

Are you talking 289 or 427? Big difference. And Batteries, fuel pumps, etc. were added her by Shelby, not from the factory at AC so lots of different possibilities.

What are you trying to replicate?

From Finish Line Accessories in Martinez CA.

289 Cobra manual (reproduction): Manual 289

427 Cobra manual (reproduction): Manual 427

Would like to do it so close as possible.

Thankful for any help.

The chassis manual is good to have but it's not going to show you what goes where and what the original parts would be... for the most part. It's really for those who own the car already. People study for years what was original and it's an on going education. Most original cars now have been so modified over the years and by multiple owners that they aren't very original anymore. I can't count how many times I've heard "it's totally original" and the dash doesn't even have the right switches! Best thing to do is study photo's of the same part on a couple different original cars, search the internet and Club Cobra and post questions as they come up in your build.
Of course, it also depends on just how original you'd like to do in your build. You can go crazy with some of this!

you need to pick one CSX car to replicate. All 998 are different.
