What tire provided the tread impression for this iconic (and ultra rare) tee-shirt that Peter Brock designed for Shelby's emerging Goodyear race tire distributorship circa 1962:

You be the judge. There were versions with and without sipes. Based on published race photos I believe with sipes was first but because SAI used multiple versions of tires in any given time frame it could have been in part just slightly different tires for different tracks and or conditions. I chose a picture of a tire without sipes because I don't see any signs of them being present in the shirt print.

Thanks Dan. Great input and images. I'll be filling in more of the backstory on this as I research and write my article for SAAC on the Shelby Goodyear race tire distributorship.
