color question for 289
still thinking about the color for my 289 fia

I thought the FIAs were Viking Blue (or Princess Alice Blue) ?
|
yes i know, but are there beside princess blue and viking blue which are metallic colors, perhaps any special light blue paint in NOT metallic ?
|
Neither AC nor Ford offered a color such as you describe for the Cobra.

This is as close as we've done.

The Sunbeam Tiger/Alpine had a similar non-metallic color called Wedgewood Blue.

Not sure that a Ferrari color would have done it for CS.

This is the closest I've seen. Not sure if it's metallic. I would look into British, Ford colors of the time for ideas... Jaguar, Aston, Morris, Mini too... Here are a couple. The Powder Blue might be up your alley (Martin Senour collection)
