Today's tech would allow for an original piece to be laser scanned,
3D print X number of copies, then finish with polish and paint.
Final product would literally be a clone of the original.

AC Ace Cobra script badge. I'm not sure if it NOS or refurbished and new chromed or a perfect repro. Very good condition. This spring I bought a few badges from a guy in UK who sold his AC and Cobra memorabilia collection.

I have also a few early repro badges for sale. They are very close to the original badges. Best I have seen for years.
Originals were mounted on 260/289 Cobs CSX 2001 to CSX 2054 I think. PM if interested.
