Cobra 260/289 interior door handles/pulls?

Greetings, Cobristi.

I'm thinking for my car that it would be nice not to have to put greasy or sweaty hand prints on the paintwork just to close the doors.

I'm starting to work my way through my stock of 260/289 Cobra interiors, looking for any shots of interior door pulls/handles. Have not found any yet :confused:
Were any used (at all?) on 260/289 cars?

If none was used, any suggestions of what might be suitable and acceptable?

Door Latch Straps

Cobras used leather straps with a loop on each end. One loop was used to attach the forward end to the door frame like a slip knot.

427 Cobras used straps with a single loop. The plain forward end was attached to the door frame with a screw.

AC Cars made two versions of strap stock, one folded and sewn like glove box door stay straps and another just a plain strip of leather.

Intended to be used to pull the latch lever straight forward, it was common for users to push or pull the strap downward to open the door or jerk the strap to close the door. Putting pressure down on the door while closing can misalign the latch on the door frame and the strike on the chassis enough to damage the mechanisms over time. Over time doors could sag and drag the B (rear) pillar. Many original cars owners did away with the straps. I tried an original strap from another Cobra on our black car for a few minutes and decided it was a bad idea and removed it.

Door frames of original cars makes a good door pull to close handle with just finger tips.

I have leather straps fitted which work well for opening the doors.
My doors don't have a rolled edge over a tube frame ....hence the desirability of a handle for closing.
